On April 24, 2026 local time, the Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda, His Excellency Gaston Browne, and the Chinese Ambassador to Antigua and Barbuda, His Excellency Jiang Wei, visited the Booby Alley housing project and Point community construction site constructed by Zhong'an Huali for on-site inspection. The delegation carefully reviewed the overall construction organization, on-site safety and civilization management, and physical engineering quality, comprehensively understood the current pace of construction progress and subsequent construction plans, and fully affirmed and highly praised the standardized construction and efficient and orderly performance of the project.

At the project site, Prime Minister Gaston Browne stated that the Booby Alley housing project is an important livelihood project that enhances the overall appearance of the Point community and improves the supporting facilities for local residents. The project can not only systematically improve local living conditions and fill the gaps in basic living facilities, but also effectively optimize the living environment of the masses, broaden the channels for ensuring people's livelihood development, and effectively drive the overall quality and upgrading of the area. He highly praised the pragmatic cooperation between China and Antigua, and sincerely thanked the Chinese government for its long-term support for the infrastructure construction and livelihood development of Antigua and Barbuda. He emphasized that the Booby Alley housing project is a high-quality demonstration project of friendly cooperation and mutual benefit between the two countries, which will effectively revitalize the resources of old and dilapidated areas and comprehensively improve the quality of community living.

The Booby Alley housing project is funded by the Chinese government and implemented by Zhong'an Huali as the general contractor. The project plans to construct approximately 150 modern and livable apartment residences that are suitable for local climate conditions, while simultaneously coordinating and improving integrated infrastructure such as roads, pipelines, and public convenience facilities. It is a key livelihood benchmark project in the Antigua and Barbuda Urban Renewal Special Plan. After the completion of the project, priority will be given to resettling the original permanent residents of Point community and improving the current situation of old and simple housing in the area; The remaining housing units will be supplied to families in need in the jurisdiction through a combination of renting and purchasing, in accordance with local policies, effectively expanding the coverage of people's livelihood security.
