At 2 p.m. Tanzania local time on July 1, 2026, the groundbreaking ceremony for the 116km road project undertaken by Anhua Huali was staged in Songea City. Present at the ceremony were Abdallah Hamis Ulega, Minister of the Ministry of Works of Tanzania; Christina Solomon Mndeme, Regional Commissioner of Ruvuma Region; officials from all government departments of Songea City; representatives of the LEA supervision team; and all staff of the Anhua Huali project department for the 116km road scheme in Tanzania.

Minister Abdallah Hamis Ulega delivered an address at the event. He noted that the road was originally built in 1986 and has remained in service ever since. Its upgrading and renovation will greatly enhance traffic safety and accessibility, and further boost economic development along the route. The minister fully commended the flawless organization of the ceremony and voiced high recognition of Anhua Huali. He called on all local government departments to work hand in hand with Anhua Huali to press ahead with construction efficiently, deliver a high-quality project, and fuel regional growth.

The groundbreaking ceremony generated wide positive social repercussions across Tanzania. On July 2, the Ruvuma Regional Roads Authority issued a formal thank-you letter. It extended heartfelt appreciation to Anhua Huali Headquarters for its full backing, and praised the project team for its dutiful performance and united collaborative spirit. The authority also wished Anhua Huali continued prosperity and ever-greater achievements.
