On the morning of May 1, 2019, Chinese Ambassador to Zambia Li Jie and his wife, Commercial Counselor Ouyang Daobing, and all Chinese embassy personnel in Zambia went to Zhong'an Huali Zambia Qiancang Farm for investigation and research, and celebrated International Labor Day with nearly 100 Chinese and Zambian workers on the farm.

Ambassador Li Jie and his delegation went deep into the fields, pigsties, chicken coops, ponds, and fruit orchards after arriving at the farm. They conducted a detailed on-site inspection of vegetable cultivation, various poultry and livestock breeding, and listened to reports from Gao Jian, the head of Zhong'an Huali Zambia Company, and Li Hu, the farm director. Huali Group has been operating a farm in Lusaka, the capital of Zambia, for over four years. It has built a nearly 1000 acre industrial park on a previously barren plain, including over 150 acres of business and leisure areas, over 100 acres of vegetable orchard planting areas, over 100 acres of livestock breeding areas, and over 400 acres of agricultural crop planting areas. Its production and operation have begun to take shape and it has gained some fame in the Lusaka region. The ambassador was very pleased to hear this and fully affirmed the achievements of the farm. He encouraged everyone to continue working hard to build the farm better, and asked to convey his holiday wishes to all employees of Anhui Huali.

The ambassador also had a cordial conversation with the Zan employees on the farm to understand their living and working conditions, and informed the Chinese employees that the Chinese Embassy in Zan is the home of all Chinese personnel in Zan and is everyone's attendant. If there are difficulties, the embassy will do its best to provide assistance and services, and extend holiday greetings and blessings to all employees!

In the afternoon, Ambassador Li Jie and his delegation also participated in the May Day celebration of Huali employees, experiencing live CS, fishing, karaoke, chess and card games, etc. In the evening, they watched the cultural performance of farm employees, creating a peaceful and lively atmosphere. Ambassador Li Jie highly praised the construction and operation of Qiancang Farm, encouraging it to continue its efforts and further improve on the basis of safety, in order to make the farm a beautiful business card in Zambia.

The inspection guidance and earnest expectations of the ambassador's delegation greatly inspired the confidence and determination of all the staff on the farm. They expressed their determination to run the farm well, promote local agricultural development, and provide as many living, working, and tourism services as possible for the Chinese people in Zambia.
