On December 24th, accompanied by thunderous sounds and cheers from the builders who had been fighting underground for months, the left line of the shield tunnel section between Fenglehe Road Station and Yulan Avenue Station of the civil construction general contracting section 2 of Hefei Metro Line 4, constructed by Zhong'an Huali Construction Group, was successfully completed. Following the topping out of the first large-span underground station constructed by the group on April 28, 2019, the first shield tunneling single track section was successfully completed.

The second section of the civil construction general contracting for Hefei Metro Line 4 consists of five stations and five zones, with a total length of 7.16 kilometers. The section from Fenglehe Road Station to Yulan Avenue Station is 1.472 kilometers long. The project is located in the High tech Zone of Hefei City, with a main geological layer of sandy mudstone. The construction operation is carried out using soil pressure balance shield tunneling method. The left line of the section started on May 25, 2019, crossed the 312 National Highway Ring Expressway Bridge on October 15, and arrived at the receiving well in 7 months at calendar time on December 22.

To ensure the safe, high-quality, and efficient completion of construction tasks, all personnel of the project department have worked together to overcome difficulties, with high standards and strict requirements, and have formulated detailed and meticulous multiple guarantee measures. Through the preliminary engineering planning and sorting, in accordance with the principle of early entry and early departure of shield tunneling, the key construction routes of the project are sorted out, and the main line of shield tunneling construction is closely grasped to schedule the work plan. During the construction process, we adhere to measures such as checking the posture of each section, strictly controlling the formation of pipe segments, monitoring settlement daily, and tracking grouting in a timely manner to improve the quality of tunnel formation.

As a key node in the operation of the western section of Line 4, the Fengyu section has laid a solid foundation for subsequent track laying operations with the completion of its shield tunneling.
